Marauder “Agency Ops” first samples are blowing my mind

Can I just say what an awesome time it is to be a 1:18 scale action figure junkie?  I mean seriously.

I see G.I. Joe fans gnashing their teeth about no Joes at retail, but holy cow when I see stuff like this, suddenly it’s not so painful.

Marauder is over in China at the moment, and I gotta believe he pulled these samples straight from the factory, and I am SO glad he did.  I don’t know if I could be any more in love with four inch pieces of plastic than I am right now.  Just a simple dude in a t-shirt with elbow pads and a pistol is knocking me out.  I want these.  Like nowish.

Check out the Marauder “Gun Runners” Facebook Page, and take a peek at the mirrored images below, though fair warning – they may cause blood loss to your brain.  If you feel it for four hours or more, go see a doctor.

Spoiler alert – Figure Subscription Service 7.0 Shipment 2 is arriving in mailboxes

Wow, seems like shipment one just barely arrived.

Well, when you figure the Collectors Club has five short months to roll out two FSS’s, plus the extra 12 bonus figures, I guess they’d better move at a pretty quick pace.

As usual, JE Russel received his figures first (it pays to live close to the Club’s home office, I suppose), and I’m posting them below the “READ MORE” link below to preserve spoilers for those who are into those kinds of things.

Super 7 reveals SDCC exclusive G.I. Joe T-Shirts

Another announcement of an SDCC exclusive non-action figure oriented G.I. Joe item came yesterday with Super 7 revealing that they’re producing two t-shirts with a G.I. Joe theme.

The fact that Super 7 is doing Joe shirts isn’t necessarily new news, they’ve had several for sale on their website for quite a while.  That being said, if Hasbro was ever considering them for producing toys similar to how they’re working on Masters of the Universe Classics consider this my official endorsement.

The SDCC exclusive shirts should be available at booth #4945 and you can see the images below.  Thanks to Diana for posting this info to the G.I. Joe Discussion Group on Facebook.

Chris from The Full Force recently got some in his possession as well, and posted one of his usual entertaining looks at the form and function of these fantastic pieces.

Any fan of 1:18 figures, or Transformers, or really any toyline at all that needs cool display elements needs to look long and hard at Complex.  They are incredible and have some amazing things planned for the future.  Check out the video review below and be sure to snag your own set of Complex at SmallJoes.com!

Dark Source 1:18 scale military figures are rocking my world

One thing that has become crystal clear over the past few years is that adult 1:18 collectors need to look outside of retail channels for collectible action figures that appeal to our desires of enhanced articulation, accessories and detail.  Thankfully, there has been an influx of smaller companies producing kick ass toys in that scale that cover those bases.  It appears as if we have one more to add to that list.

Over on the Pocket In Action Club Facebook page they’ve shown off a bunch of images of a new line of 1:18 futuristic military figures that appear to be called Dark Source, appearing to be coming out of China.  I’ve been trying to get a good translation of the page, but at this point it almost looks like they’re being produced by WaBao Toys (though I could be totally misreading the phrasing on Facebook).

Long story short, these look amazing and I need to figure out how and where to buy them.

Latest G.I. Joe Collectors Club Comic Reveals perhaps what could have been

During the History of the GIJCC Club Comic, Dave Lane made sure to point out that we may see some new characters in upcoming comics, but not to get too excited because the license was winding down and they likely wouldn’t be getting to everyone we’d be seeing.  They were placed in there as Easter Eggs primarily.

Well, the latest issue of the Club Comic has arrived in mailboxes and there are Easter Eggs aplenty, including a surprise appearance by a non-G.I. Joe character.  Generally I frown upon showing images from the Club Comic, I know they keep the monthly newsletter close to their vest, but with the license winding down in a few months, it seems like not such a big deal.

Some of these images come courtesy of The Full Force Facebook Page.  Check them out below:

First of all – look at all dat Star Brigade goodness!  Sigh…

But really it’s that second panel that has me (and plenty of other folks) excited…  Miles Mayhem sitting at the head of the table full of COBRA operatives.  It would seem, even within the Club comic, the worlds of G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K. are being linked more closely together.

Just imagine if the Club had an opportunity to do a M.A.S.K. Convention Set?  My heart weeps.  Granted, it would go pretty strongly in opposition to their recent philosophy against removable helmets.  Maybe if they’d done one with Boss Fight’s involvement in 2014…  excuse me while I go cry in a corner somewhere.
