The comic book movie hits just keep on coming.
Fresh of a thrilling new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, 20th Century Fox is determined to stay relevant in the super hero game, and Wolverine director James Mangold confirmed via Twitter that they will begin shooting the next installment of the Wolverine solo film series next year.
Hugh Jackman has enthusiastically agreed to keep playing the character until he dies, so they might as well continue milking it for all its worth. Wolverine Origins left me considerably cold, but The Wolverine came very close to redeeming it, and Wolverine’s presence in X-Men: Days of Future Past was nearly perfect.
It’s still hard to fathom for a comic geek that the biggest movies over the next few years will have the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the X-Men involved, but that’s the world we live in. I hope we’re all appreciating it.
@R_0_B_89 early next year.
