First and foremost, props to Wayne Losey who linked to this great article on Twitter, which takes a very close look at how action figure sales have been trending over the past several years (hint… it ain’t good) and the potential impact of movie licensed brands on those sales.
Mr. Losey is an industry professional (being one of the brain children behind Go Go Dynamo, which is currently producing the awesome Modibot, and who also did some work with Hasbro on Xevoz, G.I. Joe, and Sigma 6) and this article really takes a long hard look at the intertwining of repeated blockbuster movies and product sales associated with them. Frankly, it’s eye opening.
In another great customer service move from a company that specializes in good customer service, Marauder “Gun Runners” has posted via their Facebook page that they are soliciting advice from their customers in planning Series 7 of their now famous weapons system.
Check out the full text of Marauder’s Facebook post after the jump, and then hit up their Facebook page to let them know what you’re looking for.
Now, it’s all focused on a single retail outlet, Meijer’s, and all sightings seem to be in the Indiana and Kentucky areas, but we’ve got some more evidence of figures being found in the wild.
First and foremost, long time friend of GeneralsJoes and one of the admins of JoeBattleLines, Scott “MadMac” found a Wave 1 Roadblock and was kind enough to take some pictures. He also took some initiative and swapped out Roadblock’s hands with the 7-Pack Red Dog. The results are quite nice! Check out the images below.
Also, fellow co-host of the What’s on Joe Mind podcast Gary discovered them at his local Meijer’s as well…so guess we’ll have some good stuff to talk about next week! Check out the image for proof below.
Those of you with local Meijer’s stores, gas up those cars and get driving! I’ll just sit back with my bears and wait for those pesky e-tailers.
I know I’ve already linked up the G.I. Joe: Retaliation Movie SuperPage, but I just wanted folks to know that it’s all up to date with all trailers and all screen caps or images that I’ve gathered together so far.
I also just added the G.I. Joe: Retaliation Toys SuperPage, collecting all of the images that we’ve received from Hasbro thus far. I didn’t include the oversized “Ninja Commando” figures or the Role Playing stuff, but all of the 4″ related stuff is there. If there are any major changes you want to see or any alterations that should be made, feel free to let me know. Check out the links below to check them out.
Yesterday I spoke about the monstrous undertaking that is the Top 100 Best Toys of All Time, and now, UnderScoopFire has revealed the last 10 installments of this list on the latest episode of the UnderScoopFire Podcast!

Wow, here’s an unexpected event for a Friday morning.
Only two days after the first images of G.I. Joe: Retaliation toys were revealed, Hasbro’s G.I. Joe website has shown thumbnail images for a large run of G.I. Joe: Retaliation toys, including more figures, vehicles, and role play items!
The page can be found right here, and I’ve mirrored the images below! Check it out, with more analysis coming later.
Big thanks to Jay from Toy News International and Hasbro’s Twitter Page for relaying this information!
Interesting to note as well, San Diego Comic Con Exclusives are a part of this release, including a pair of Jinx figures (classic!!!) and a “Shockwave” HISS Tank. WOW! A real stunner of some intel this morning.
