Generals Joe and Tell Video Reviews are up and going!

If anyone has been paying attention to my YouTube Channel then you know I’ve recently been posting some more video reviews to go alongside my written reviews.  Chris from The Full Force podcast has also signed on to help me out on some of my production values, and I’m thrilled to say we’re pushing these out on a pretty regular basis!

At this point, I’ve posted video reviews for the first four Figure Subscription Service figures under the header of Generals Joe and Tell and Chris and I are having a lot of fun with them.

We just posted one for the FSS Night Creeper, and also have Barricade, Nunchuk, and Law & Order posted as well.  Written reviews are coming very soon for the Night Creeper and Barricade as well.

If you’re into video reviews, please consider Subscribing to my Channel, and you can check out the latest FSS video reviews below.

On the eve of G.I. Joe Club Registration – Club hits landmark numbers

Yes, I reported on Wednesday that the G.I. Joe Collectors Club would be accepting new members until the end of the day on March 16th, as they have every year.

However, they announced that this year they were expanding the deadline, and you now have until midnight TONIGHT to get your memberships in for 2016!  This will be the best way to get your hands on the 2016 incentive figures, Pythona or the 12″ Mike Power.

Apparently these two figures are in hot demand, as the Collectors Club announced today that they have reached a landmark number for memberships, their highest active member group ever.  Pretty exciting, and testament to the great looking exclusive figures that they’re giving away this year.

If you haven’t joined yet, you’ve got a small window of time, don’t lose out!  Hit up and a hearty congrats to the Club on this great milestone.

G.I. Joe Collectors Club rounds of Con reveals with Static Line!

Today the Collectors Club has posted their last 2016 G.I. Joe Convention reveal with none other than Static Line from Sky Patrol!

A fantastic looking figure with a nice new head and great parts formula.  It would have been nice for the helmet to be removable, but even as it stands, the figure is really impressive.  Check out or take a peek at the mirrored image below.

G.I. Joe Con Black Vulture and Drop Zone revealed

Picking up right where they left off on Friday, the G.I. Joe Collectors Club has revealed two more figures from their 2016 G.I. Joe Convention today!  The Cobra Black Vulture and Sky Patrol member Drop Zone were both shown off on

I’m a bit mixed.  I LOVE most of Black Vulture’s part, but that head seems to be sitting very high on the neck.  Hopefully it’s not that bad in its final form because the rest of the figure is an absolute home run.  I may try the Renegades Cobra Trooper head on the Accelerator Suit body myself to see if it really fits that high.  From the neck down, the figure is truly spectacular.

As for Drop Zone, he looks pretty good.  I was never a huge fan of the Strato Viper figure with its scrawny limbs and clunky joints, but I am glad to see that at least the arms have been swapped out for what looks like Retaliation Storm Shadow.  That is a HUGE improvement, even if I’m still not wild about Strato-knees.  Drop Zone looks a little Photoshopped, too, and appears skinnier than he likely is in real life.

All in all, I’m exceedingly happy with what I’ve seen from the Con set reveals to date.  We still have Static Line left to go, and here’s hoping he’s got a new head, since new parts appear to be pretty sparse thus far.

Check out for the latest, and these new images are mirrored below.

G.I. Joe Collectors Club reveals JoeCon Airwave and Air Devils!

The reveals continue on a Friday night, with the G.I. Joe Collectors Club giving us our first look at the upcoming Sky Patrol Airwave and A.D.D.E.R.S. trooper, Cobra Air Devil.

Air Devil looks pretty spectacular, and I absolutely LOVE that red and black color scheme.  Airwave looks to be mostly made from Pursuit of Cobra Ripcord/Skydive, which is cool with me, that figure is pretty great.  Check out for the latest, and the images are mirrored below.  At this point, we should have three reveals left – Drop Zone, Static Line, and Cobra Black Vulture!  Bring ’em on.

G.I. Joe Con Sky Patrol Airborne and Cobra Flying Scorpion Revealed!

The hits just keep on coming today!  Registration has just been announced and now we have two brand spanking new figure reveals.  Sky Patrol Sgt. “Airborne” Six comes at us alongside the long requested Cobra Flying Scorpion!

Flying Scorpion was initially a Brazilian release (Escorpaio Voador) using Cesspool’s head and other mixed parts, released alongside Black Vulture (Abutre Negro) who is also slated to come with this Con set.

The two reveals today look pretty spectacular.  Loving the new head sculpt and urban camouflage on Airborne (and is that a Retaliation Firefly torso… great use!), and I love that Flying Scorpion comes with the Pursuit of Cobra jetpack.  GREAT looking figures!

Keep watching for the latest!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club reveal next two 2016 Convention Figures

We have another JoeCon exclusive reveal this evening, this time the Cobra Night Vulture and Altitude, from Sky Patrol!

Neither of them are quite as impressive as the ones we saw yesterday, but they’re still very nice parts combinations.  Night Vulture seems to be a large part the ’89 Snake Eyes 25th Anniversary figure (with Retaliation Cobra Trooper’s head), while Altitude is a healthy helping of PoC Duke, Firefly, and Lift Ticket arms.

I love the more modern parts, and even though the ’89 Snake Eyes is from several years ago, it was pretty far ahead of its time.  Both figures are well articulated and really striking.  Night Vulture’s matching wing suit is great, too.

Check out or the mirrored images below.  Still off to a great start.  I really can’t wait to see Flying Scorpion, Black Vulture, and the Air Devils!

G.I. Joe Collectors Club debuts first two 2016 Convention Figures

Oh hell yes.

We are off to one heck of a good start if the rest of the figures finish like they’ve started.

The G.I. Joe Collectors Club has debuted their first two Convention figures, Skydive and Sky Creeper, and they are…well…  amazing?

Skydive looks to be using Mutt’s head and a Data Viper build with some striking blue and gray colors that really jump off the screen.  I love that he’s got the Resolute jetpack as well.

Sky Creeper has a brand spanking new head along with what looks to be partially Ultimate Cobra Commander and PoC Snake Eyes, and the colors are spectacular.  He’s got the fantastic wingsuit as well that I’m a big fan of.

Wow, right out of the gate, we’ve got two really great looking Convention figures.  If this is what we should expect going forward, this may be a boxed set for the ages.  Check out the images below and keep watching for the latest info!

The Regular Joes podcast addresses concerns with JoeCon future

Please bear with me today as I try and power through some post Toy Fair recap and news reports, both within and outside of the G.I. Joe realm.

First and foremost, for any G.I. Joe fans who are concerned with the recent rumors of the future of the G.I. Joe Collectors Club and JoeCon itself, the folks from the Regular Joes podcast posted an episode discussing this very event.

Anyone who has listened to this podcast before knows that these guys are long time G.I. Joe fans and collectors who really have their fingers on the pulse of things when it comes to the G.I. Joe Collectors Club. I’m not saying this episode has any sort of secret inside information or anything, but Barry, Dave, and Todd certainly know their stuff, and any insight they provide here should be considered quite valuable.

Check out the latest episode of Regular Joes here, and keep tabs with them on Facebook as well.
