Eagle Force Returns comic strips continue their weekly updates

Man, I get goosebumps every time Fresh Monkey Fiction posts a new one of these strips.  All my life I’ve wanted to write comics, and so far this is the closest I’ve gotten, and I’m loving it.  Huge thanks to Bill for giving me the opportunity to do it, and major props to the legendary Ryan Lord for his stellar artwork!

Eagle Force Returns on Facebook is where you want to be to see all the latest!  I’ve mirrored them below as well.

What is Monster Force?

So anyone who has been dialed into the status of the Eagle Force Kickstarter has no doubt started seeing some hints and clues scattered around for a mysterious new project called “Monster Force”…

What the heck is this?  Very good question.  Bill Murphy from Fresh Monkey Fiction was kind enough to talk to me a little bit about what we can expect from this mysterious new endeavor…

GeneralsJoes: So Monster Force is still a ways off by the looks, with a date of 2018.  What can you tell us about the background of this idea?
Fresh Monkey Fiction: Craig at Remco and I were bouncing ideas around and we started talking classic monsters.  Craig and I are huge classic monster fans and we wanted to figure out a way to produce some sort of monster figures. I was out to dinner with my writing partner Sean Rourke working on our next Pendragon book and mentioned it to him. He ran with the idea and thought why not connect monsters to Eagle Force and Midnightmen  our WWII comic.  We had already folded the Midnightmen into the Eagle Force universe with Ultima Thule, so it seemed like a perfect fit. We’ll feature General Brown and Mr. Legacy as our cross over characters.
GeneralsJoes: Will the “Monsters” in Monster Force be familiar creature characters or more generic beasts?
Fresh Monkey Fiction: They will be our unique spin on classic monsters. If you’ve seen the Monster Force Egyptian Amulet logo (which is a homage to a classic 80’s monster movie)  you’ll get an idea of a few of monsters we’re thinking about.
GeneralsJoes: It certainly looks like the Monster Force logo and Eagle Force logo share similar characteristics.  Will Monster Force be an Eagle Force “tie in” of sorts?
Fresh Monkey Fiction: Yes, it’ll tie in to Eagle Force for sure. General Brown is our main cross over character to the world of Eagle Force, but you’ll see a couple other Eagle Force/R.I.O.T. characters in the mix as well. A fan demanded R.I.O.T character, from the vintage line,  will make his figure debut in Monster Force.
GeneralsJoes: If it does tie-in to Eagle Force, is it an “alternative universe” storyline or part of the main Eagle Force vs. R.I.O.T. story?

Fresh Monkey Fiction: Well it’s not an “alternative universe” story, it takes place in the same world as Eagle Force, but these monsters pose a much different threat than R.I.O.T., so General Brown forms a new team to deal with them. We’ll reveal more details later this summer and we hope to launch the line in early 2018.

Big thanks to Bill for talking through this a little bit, hopefully you all join me in my excitement for whatever is to come from Monster Force!  It sounds pretty great!  Keep watching the Eagle Force Returns Facebook Page for the latest info!

Eagle Force Returns down to the last critical hours…

Less than 36 short hours are left in the Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter and it sits now at $176,000 which is a fantastic amount, but still leaving some of the stretch goals on the table.

Take one last look, now’s the time to get in on the ground floor!  I can tell you there are some fun things in the works for Eagle Force, and it all starts right here.

Head on over to Kickstarter and consider throwing in some cash, there isn’t a whole lot more time to do it.

As an added bonus, here are a bunch of the bio cards that have been posted as Kickstarter updates as a way to get familiar with the Eagle Force characters.  Lots of history here…  like I said, get on while the universe is just being built.  Lots of great stuff here and still to come!

Eagle Force Grimm Reapers Stretch Goal unlocked – surge towards the finish line!

As we get towards the finish line of the Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter Campaign, Fresh Monkey Fiction has announced the early unlocking of the Grimm Reaper Troopers!  That puts this figure as part of the All In package as well as able to be purchased as an army builder 4-Pack!  It’s an excellent looking trooper with a really cool backstory to boot.

Also, details will be coming soon on a contest for a R.I.O.T. Hideout playset.

Let’s finish this thing strong, folks!  Come on, only 2 weeks left and a lotta stretch goals still to go.

Congratulations Eagle Force… now let’s crash some stretch goals!

As of late last night/early this morning, the awesome looking Eagle Force Kickstarter has been successfully funded!  BOOSH.

I am thrilled to see that things are moving forward here, but I can’t help but scroll down and check out those stretch goals that are still hovering out there.  Characters like Ultima Thule and Redwing…  fantastic troopers like the Grimm Reapers and Arctic Troopers.

So much cool stuff to still unlock, let’s keep hammering at this!

Yes, I’m being selfish.  I wrote many of the bio’s for these characters and I want to see them brought to life in plastic.  Help me support my dream!  Bill, Craig, Joe and many others have put together a terrific assortment of great individual characters who not only carry the nostalgia from the 80s, but are really fun modern military figures as well.

Recently new additions have been revealed, such as the Goldie Hawks…

Join me in supporting Eagle Force on Kickstarter so we can open up the world of Eagle Force to collectors everywhere.

Eagle Force Returns NOW on Kickstarter!

We’ve been hearing about it for a while, and the time has finally come!  Eagle Force makes its triumphant return on Kickstarter.

In fact, Kickstarter’s approval process was a bit quicker than anticipated, and the special forces team from the 80s actually debuted yesterday.  It was a seriously strong debut as well, already clocking in over $65,000 in just 24 hours!  Holy guacamole!

I’m very proud to say I’m doing some work alongside Fresh Monkey Fiction writing some of the bio’s for the characters and I am ecstatic to see this strong early response.  Keep on hammering, folks, there’s a ton of great stuff in the stretch goals, and Eagle Force looks like a TON of fun.

We’ve got gliders, we’ve got a playset… it’s like the 80s all over again.

Check it out at Kickstarter.com!

Eagle Force Trading Card Kickstarter winding down and Eagle Force Officer reveal!

We are officially in the final throws of the Eagle Force Trading Card Kickstarter, but man what a run!  For a Kickstarter that set its modest goal at $700, things have quickly accelerated, and we sit here with the total pledge at over $11,000!  Huge kudos to the folks at Fresh Monkey Fiction for pulling this off in such emphatic fashion.

The RIOT Stealth Pilot figure has been unlocked so please, anyone who wants that figure make sure you not only add the funds but CHANGE YOUR PLEDGE LEVEL.  You don’t want to miss that figure!

Also, I’m not sure if I mentioned it here yet or not, but there are some spectacular additional stretch goal incentives with a great new glider from friend of GeneralsJoes D&J Toys!

There’s only about 12 hours left to throw some support at the trading card Kickstarter.  Keep it coming!

New Eagle Force Returns reveal and RIOT Pilot stretch goal adjustment!

A couple of pieces of Eagle Force related news to share this morning.

First and foremost, since I posted the information yesterday, Fresh Monkey Fiction has adjusted the requirements of the Eagle Force RIOT Pilot stretch goal so that anyone who has pledged $60 or more will receive the RIOT Pilot (as long as the campaign hits $10,000)!  That’s a great adjustment and hopefully will draw more folks to the Kickstarter to get in on the ground floor for not just the Eagle Force trading cards, but also the Eagle Force Returns toy line!  They are under $4,000 to go to hit that threshold, so if enough people want the Pilot, we should be able to get there in no time.

Along with this, The Fwoosh has an exclusive figure reveal, too, showing off the RIOT “Firebug” a flamethrower trooper to support the Fireball character.  An awesome new addition to the RIOT terrorist team, to be sure.

Eagle Force ls promising to be a very impressive showing and I will be watching for the Kickstarter closely.

Eagle Force Trading Card Kickstarter announces blockbuster stretch goal

The Eagle Force Trading Card Kickstarter has entered the home stretch, with only nine days left to go, and Fresh Monkey Fiction has revealed an incredible new stretch goal!

If the Kickstarter hits a $10,000 threshold, everyone who pledges $75 or more will get an extremely limited Eagle Force Returns action figure!

The R.I.O.T. Pilot is an Air Assault Stealth Trooper and is limited to only 200 pieces.  Anyone who wants a complete collection of Eagle Force Returns action figures needs to step up to the plate.

Meanwhile, I’ll be upping my own pledge as well.  Let’s try and make this happen.

Check out the Eagle Force Trading Card Kickstarter here, and see the image of the RIOT Pilot below.

Latest Eagle Force Returns figure reveal looks deadly!

Over at Action Figure Insider, a new sneak peek at an upcoming Eagle Force Returns figure has been shown, and it looks like it just might be someone new, but with some key connections to the past.

The nefarious RIOT assassin “Hornet” is the latest member of the evil terrorist organization within the Eagle Force universe, and I have to admit he’s looking pretty striking.  A great yellow and black paint scheme highlights his cool specialty, and there’s even a bio card shown.  Apparently Hornet and Kayo have a history…

Check out the images below and see the reveal at Action Figure Insider.
