Maybe these went up yesterday along with the story by USA Today, but somehow I missed it? Either that, or they just went live today and WOW!! Spectactular. If the concept art is any indication whatsoever of the kind of character design we’ll be getting, this game may already have knocked aside Avengers Alliance as my current addiction.
You can hit up the SyFy site and the Facebook Page to check out a wealth of concept art, and even sign up to play the Beta when it becomes available. So cool! Check out some mirrored images below from the SyFy gallery.
This looks SO COOL. If this is truly a tactics game along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics, or G.I. Joe: Renegades Tactics, then I will be so in love with this. Very cool.
Finally back at home after a whirlwind business trip to Kansas City, so I took some time tonight to get the promo for Episode 16 uploaded to YouTube.
Imagine my surprise when the HubTVNetwork YouTube channel also proclaimed to have a “Shipwrecked” promo uploaded! Imagine my further surprise when I figured out their promo isn’t actually for Episode 16: Shipwrecked, but for Episode 17: Castle Destro!
You got that straight? Yeah, me neither. Just check out the embedded videos below!
Okay, it’s got most of the same content as the previous one, but with an additional picture of random old scientist guy and Flint attempting to kick Snake Eyes’ ass!
Okay, time for me to be honest. I really don’t give a crap about zombie stories. Interestingly, I did find myself captivated by The Walking Dead, but I think that was more character and story driven rather than specifically zombie driven.
When IDW announced they were doing a mega cross-over event featuring zombies, I really wasn’t all that enthralled. When they claimed it would all happen in continuity and somehow make sense…well, that got me at least a little bit interested.
So now we’ve gotten Infestation #1, and now G.I. Joe: Infestation #1. How are the end results?

Another late Friday night…but hey, I’m married with a couple of kids and I’m a toy nerd, it’s not like I’ve got a hot date or anything.
G.I. Joe: Renegades picks up steam once again tonight, thrusting us right back into the thick of the Joe and Cobra conflict! And we also just might get a glimpse of an important player on the Cobra side… or two.
I learned my lesson last week, and made sure I had the DVR rolling all night tonight, so I could grab the promo clip for next week’s episode of G.I. Joe: Renegades. Initially I wasn’t sure if I was really looking forward to next week’s episode…looked like typical somewhat ridiculous Christmas themed fare.
Uhh… no. The clip looks awesome. Snake Eyes kicking some sort of arctic trooper off his snowmobile… Baroness and Storm Shadow flanking Duke… COBRA TROOPERS! W00t!
Anyway…check out the embedded video and some screencaps below.
Stalwart G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra fans (who are probably few and far between) likely remember the Facebook game that came out around the release of the film. It involved facing off one-on-one against another opponent, picking your trooper, and upgrading their equipment as you fight others and increase your experience.
It wasn’t the most interesting or captivating game, but it provided a look at some interesting artwork as the game progressed and you upgraded your uniform.
Well, the artist for this Facebook game, Jason Badower has a blog, and way back in January posted some of the artwork that was used in the Facebook game. A lot of it is stuff I hadn’t seen before, and even the stuff that was seen in the game is interesting to see in a different context.
Check out Jason’s excellent blog right here, and the mirrored images are hosted below.
TVGuide.com has finally updated their G.I. Joe: Renegades Episode Guide, this time with some information on the upcoming Homecoming 2-Parter, which includes Episodes 6 and 7. According to TVGuide.com (and other online listings sites) this two-parter will air on Christmas Eve.
The following details about these two episodes are as follows:
Episode 6 – Part 1 of 2. Duke protects his family, which has been targeted by Cobra, while the team sneaks into Cobra’s Christmas party.
Episode 7 – Conclusion of 2. Baroness tries to hijack the Joes as they are being transported into custody by Flint and Lady Jaye so that she can gain control of the secrets stored on Cobra’s drive.
The information about Duke’s family has been revealed before, but the tidbits about the Joes being taken into custody is certainly news! Can’t wait to see how it evolves.
A short while ago, it was revealed that Major Bludd was likely to be a part of the third episode of G.I. Joe: Renegades, with the episode entitled “The Package”. Now we know who sends him after his target!
TVGuide.com has updated their line up for Friday, December 3rd, and included the following description:
“The Joes stop the Baroness’ mercenary from completing his planned assassination.”
Uh, spoiler warning next time? From the looks of the listings on TV Guide, it would appear that the new episode of G.I. Joe: Renegades airs at 5:30pm, following a repeat of Episode Two. Also on TVGuide.com, there is a slightly more detailed episode breakdown, also featuring some information on Episode Four, Return of the Arashikage, Part 1. The following description is listed for that episode:
“The Joes train with Snake Eyes at his dojo and learn about his connection to Storm Shadow and their shady shared past.”
By the sounds of this, we should see Storm Shadow early on in the series, and start learning about his connection to Snake Eyes pretty quickly. Looking forward to checking these out!
Okay, I have a confession to make. I love these Resolute toys. I really, really, REALLY love these Resolute toys. I know everyone labels me a Hasbro fanboy anyway, so that probably comes as no surprise to anyone, but my love for these Resolute toys goes beyond my normal love for the normal cool toys.
While I am fired up for the Pursuit of Cobra items and I love what I’m seeing there, too, for some reason the look and feel of G.I. Joe: Resolute just has me on cloud nine. It’s a little bitter sweet, because I’m not sure we’ll ever see anything else from this awesome Resolute universe, but if this is it, it’s a great last stand.
Granted, there were aspects of the Resolute story that certainly were not perfect, but the big drawing point were the designs, and seeing those designs translated into 3 3/4″ plastic form is absolutely awesome. So, of course, since I’m so ramped up, I couldn’t just stop at two reviews posted today… here are FOUR more. These are all linked at the G.I. Joe: Resolute Reviews Page, or you can check them out individually below:
So that’s a total of eight of the fourteen figures… I might even get the last six posted tomorrow. But I don’t want to shortchange my “Review-A-Rama” too much!
