Promos for next week’s Agents of SHIELD and The Flash

It’s Wednesday morning, which means we’ve moved on to next week’s installments of Agents of SHIELD and The Flash.  Check out the promo videos below!

“The Dirty Half Dozen” – Gonzales and Coulson must find a way to put their differences aside and work together against Hydra, even if it means teaming up with someone they don’t trust, on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tuesday, April 28th on ABC.

“The Trap” – Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) set a trap for Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Cisco uses himself as prey which puts him in grave danger. Meanwhile, Eddie (Rick Cosnett) makes a decision regarding Iris (Candice Patton), which leaves Joe a bit unsettled. Steve Shill directed the episode written by Alison Schapker & Brooke Eikmeier.

Agents of SHIELD spin off in the works for Mockingbird?

Although ratings have been somewhat questionable for Agents of SHIELD in its first two seasons, the rumor mill is already churning about a potential spin off in the works, being developed by Marvel Studios.  Until recently, the nature of this spin off was unknown, but according to sources at the Hollywood Reporter the show will be led by Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood.

Palicki and Blood currently star as Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse and Lance Hunter on the Marvel show, in the midst of a meaty second season.  The potential spin off is raising some eyebrows, mostly because Palicki and Moore have quickly become fan favorites on the Agents of SHIELD show, and fans might be wondering how their roles will be filled going into Season Three.  A slight disclaimer here…  Agents of SHIELD hasn’t been officially greenlit for a third season, but it does seem likely to continue on.

This puts another intriguing wrinkle into the weekly Marvel Studios series, which is already ramping up for another exciting end of the season to tie into a major motion picture, much the same way it did with Winter Soldier last year.  Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1st, and promises to tie directly into Agents of SHIELD.

We’ll see how this shakes out.  I’m excited to see Mockingbird getting to headline her own show, but a bit nervous at the potential gap she’ll leave behind.  We’ll see how it shakes out.

Promos for episode 18 of The Flash and episode 16 of Agents of SHIELD

Hot off two exciting episodes of Marvel and DC’s latest television universes, we have promo videos for the next new episodes of both The Flash and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.

In The Flash “All Star Team Up” Felicity returns to Central City with Ray Palmer along for the ride!  The next episode lands in two weeks!

Meanwhile in Agents of SHIELD “Afterlife” we meet Lincoln, a mysterious Inhuman.

With each episode, both of these shows dive deeper into the comic world, and I’m enjoying the ride.

EDIT– Thanks to PopCritica for pointing out that Flash isn’t actually back next week…  we’v got two very long weeks to wait!

Agents of SHIELD clip sheds some light on SHIELD’s fall

The events in Captain America: Winter Soldier feel like they happened such a long time ago, and tomorrow night, we get to revisit that time during Agents of SHIELD.  As the two SHIELD’s prepare to clash, we get a peek at how Bobbie and Mack met up with Gonzales…

I still can’t quite get my head around the fact that we have a weekly TV series with Mockingbird as one of the main heroes.  That’s pretty bad ass.  They gotta find a way to get Renner on this show, too…at least for a guest spot.

Coulson confronts Mack on Agents of SHIELD “One Door Closes”

Last week was a somewhat slow episode of Agents of SHIELD, but it doesn’t feel like that’s going to be an issue this time around.  While there isn’t a whole lot of action in this clip from the next episode, “One Door Closes” there’s plenty of tension, and you have to think things are going to come to a head…

Promos for next week’s Agents of SHIELD and The Flash

Last night was Tuesday, meaning a comic fan’s dream as new episodes of both Agents of SHIELD and The Flash aired.

With those new episodes airing come previews for next week.

On Agents of SHIELD, things look to be coming to a head between Coulson’s SHIELD and “the real” SHIELD.  While last night’s episode was relatively slow and plodding, it looks like things will be picking up next week!

Meanwhile, The Flash continues to be…well… pretty much perfect.  I know I lambasted last week’s episode a bit, but I’ll be damned if each week isn’t like watching a comic book come to life for 60 minutes.  It’s pretty damn great.  I still can’t believe Mark Hamill is coming back as the original Trickster next week.  Could this show get any more fun?  Check out that preview below.

Agents of SHIELD “Love in the time of Hydra” features some humerus Banner banter

Yeah, I know a lot of the Marvel Cinematic tie ins during Agents of SHIELD are a bit contrived, but I always geek out a little bit with the connective tissue that ties the TV show and film world. Heck, the fact that Steven Rogers’ blood was such a crucial piece of the Agent Carter TV series was pretty awesome.

They’ve posted a clip for the upcoming episode “Love in the time of Hydra” and there’s a little Bruce Banner in joke that just makes me smile a bit.

Also, this episode features the introduction of Edward James Olmos as Robert Gonzales, and judging by the slightly different SHIELD logo behind him (matching the one seen at the end of the previous episode) he is most likely involved with this mysterious “Real SHIELD” faction.  It will be interesting to see this dynamic unfold.

Marvel Legends Agents of SHIELD 3-Pack available on

With the constant reduction in articulation on the 4″ figures, many fans have been looking to the 6″ scale to fill in their Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. Well, a big missing slot can now be filled, thanks to

Agent Phil Coulson has been a long desired figure for the Legends scale to join his Avengers comrades, and with the three pack announced last year, fans have been eagerly anticipating adding not just Coulson, but also Fury and Maria Hill to their Legends displays. Granted, Fury was already available in an earlier assortment, but he’s not exactly easy to get.

Hit up to get yours now!

Now if only we could get some decent 4″ scale figures…

Promos online for Agents of SHIELD and The Flash next episodes

Marvel TV, DC TV… there’s room for love of all of it here at GeneralsJoes.

Tuesday nights are always exciting for comic fans, though many of them try to force some kind of conflict between the Marvel and DC universes rather than just embrace the fact that there’s actually a SHIELD and Flash television show both currently airing on TV. That’s a pretty cool thing in and of itself.

Promos have been posted for next week’s installments:

Agents of SHIELD Season 2 episode 14, ‘Love in the time of Hydra’

The Flash Season 1 Episode 16 ‘Rogue Time’
