  1. Yes I will reply the desert crimson guard. Did you ever think a polical office role like the old Soviet Union, enforce Cobra doc. and keeping an eye on the commanding office of the unit. You know the old saying keep your friends close and the enemy closer.

But why they got two figure in the pack beat me. I think the retool of the croc master with the A.V.A.C. didn’t go way

    Brian.

  4. I just finally got around to opening up my Defense of Cobra Island set. I love it!

Justin, re: your issue with Mindbender’s bowlegged knees, I’d recommend filling a bowl with boiling water and then dipping his legs into it. The heat from the water will soften the plastic in the knee joints until they have straightened. You can then dip him in a bowl of cold water and then you’ll have perfectly straight legs!

The hot water trick works great with soft rubber weapons as well (like Pit Commando’s submachine gun) and can be used to make loose hands tight again.

    Cheers,

  5. Also, Re: Mindbender, if you pull down on his metal suspenders down more, to cover his belt, you’ll find the suspenders won’t bunch up so much in the middle and will go in their proper place (on the left and right side of the chest) giving him a more accurate look.

You got the best Joe reviews on the ‘net!

  6. For me, SPC Altitude from the Assault on Cobra Island set is the original Ripcord. The design is pretty much identical. Even his picture on the back of the box is the same as Ripcord’s original card art back in the 80’s.

  7. Hey,

Why aren’t there a hall of heroes review? Also where is Cobra Commander VS Gung Ho comic pack?

  8. Your reviews are very impressive, and can be objective at times. However, there’s still a gap you have in this section. A ton of vehicles have yet to be reviewed by you, and you never even reviewed any of the original Senior Ranking Officer 3-packs. I’d really like to see what you thought of the original characters in each set and the repaints. Come to think of it, you still haven’t reviewed the final wave of comic packs (Rock N’ Roll and Deep Six, Fred 13 as Cobra Commander vs Gung-Ho, and Iron Grenadier and Viper).

  20. Why does hasbro continually use those Duke, Recondo, Falcon arms. WHY!!! they’re awful. they don’t hold their weapons well and you can’t even raise the arm to the shoulder properly. Et tu Wetsuit. I wanted you until I saw that. Hasbro, find that mould and burn it in the deepest level of hell. I would be a happy man if I never saw another figure with those arms again.

  23. Are the single cartoon blue/yellow & red diver Baroness the only single carded Baroness’ released in the 25th anniversary line?

  24. I have been thinking about collecting the carded 25th Anniversary editions but must admit I don’t like the Foil versions. I do however like the 25th Anniversary emblem in the top right corner. I noticed that some non-Foil versions have the Comic emblem, some have the Cartoon emblem, and I believe I have even seen some non-Foil 25th Anniversary emblemed versions. Can anyone tell me if there is any rhyme-or-reason to which figures came with which logos? Because, I can’t seem to see a pattern.
