GeneralsJoes Reviews Sideshow Collectibles 12″ Destro

Unlike many other G.I. Joe fans out there, I was drawn to this 12″ Destro the first minute I saw it.  The great modern touches and terrific vintage throwbacks seemed to create the perfect combination for this Sideshow update.  Granted, it was nowhere near 100% vintage accurate, but I’m one of those folks who doesn’t need that sort of stuff to enjoy a figure.

All in all, as much as I was looking forward to the figure, the end result matched every single expectation I had.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Hot Toys G.I. Joe: Retaliation Storm Shadow

I got my first introduction to the marvelous world of Hot Toys a few short weeks ago when I reviewed G.I. Joe: Retaliation Snake Eyes, and was pretty much blown away.  So now that I have experience with this company, would the second figure have as much impact as the first?

Short answer?  Definitely.

Long answer?  Check out my Sideshow Collectibles Review Section, or the direct link below.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Hot Toys G.I. Joe: Retaliation Snake Eyes

The gap in product over the past few months has created a double-edged sword…on the one side, it’s a bit of a bummer that only a scant handful of new G.I. Joe product has been available at mass retail throughout 2013 to date.  But on the other hand, it has freed up some income for some other purchases that might not have been made if the movie product had hit hard and heavy.

I couldn’t be happier that I was able to make some room in my bank account to support a new found Hot Toys habit.  I’m just simultaneously disappointed (and relieved) that it took me this long to discover them.

Hot Toys first offering is, of course, Snake Eyes as he appears in the G.I. Joe: Retaliation film.  What did I think?  You can check the GeneralsJoes Sideshow Collectibles review category, or just click the link below.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Sideshow Collectibles Exclusive Snake Eyes & Timber

Talk about opposite sides of the spectrum!  I spent the last few days reviewing $6.00 discount store figures, and now I’m jumping to a high-end 12″ collectible item.  Just goes to show you how many different markets G.I. Joe is hitting this year.

I’ve dabbled in the Sideshow Collectibles line a bit over the past couple of years, and with Hot Toys releasing some stunning looking G.I. Joe: Retaliation figures this year I thought I’d revisit the 12″ scale and get my perceptions in line before those become available.  I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this particular rendition of the ninja commando turned out.  Check out my Sideshow Collectibles Review Section or the direct link below.  You can also click the banner below to pick up one of these bad boys for yourself!

It took over a week, but I’m finally getting caught up with Mysterious Stranger’s excellent guest reviews, and I’m finishing with a good one… the 12″ Zartan!  I am continuously battling myself with this figure… not sure if I’ll be able to resist forever, and these reviews certainly aren’t helping!

GeneralsJoes Sideshow September continues … Black Dragon and Ninja Viper!

As I said yesterday, Mysterious Stranger is officially pulling out all of the stops.  Fresh off his great guest review of the 12″ Crimson Guard, we know see the Black Dragon and Ninja Viper 12″ figures!  Being essentially re-decoes of the same figure, Stranger elected to combine both into a single review, but the pictures and words are still great.  Check out my Sideshow Reviews section or hit up the link below.

GeneralsJoes kicks off Sideshow September with 12″ Crimson Guard review

Over the past couple of weeks, Mysterious Stranger has been inundating my mailbox with guest reviews for Sideshow Collectibles products, but I haven’t had a chance to get them all posted yet.  Figured now was as good a time as any to have a “Sideshow Collectibles Review Week”.

With the 12″ Crimson Guard hitting mailboxes just last week, I figured he was a good figure to start this week off with.

I cannot thank Mysterious Stranger enough for the time he’s taken with all of these images and reviews.  It’s not a quick and easy task, so thanks to him for putting all of this work in.  Be sure to stay glued to my Sideshow Collectibles review section, or hit the direct links as they come up:

Keep watching, more Sideshow Collectibles goodness to come this week!
