GeneralsJoes starts the Pursuit of Cobra Wave 5 Reviews

I know it’s been a while…I’ve been juggling several reviews at once, and now I’m finally at a point where I can start posting some of ’em!  I’m running through half of Wave 5 today, I’ll finish up Wave 5 tomorrow, and hope to get rolling on the Con stuff (as well as another couple little surprises) maybe next week.

Don’t hold me to that, though.  :shifty:

GeneralsJoes Reviews Pursuit of Cobra Ashiko w/ Cycle

For folks who listened to the last episode of the What’s on Joe Mind podcast they’ve already gotten wind of this review, but for the rest of you, I have now posted the review to the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page.

Keep your eyes on the site, too, because reviews are going to keep coming fast and furious.  I’ve got the GIJCC Dial Tone, Pursuit of Cobra Wave 5, and still have the mammoth 2011 Convention Set in the wings.

For now, though, check out the review at the link below.

GeneralsJoes wraps up reviews of Pursuit of Cobra Wave 6

Folks might accuse me of saving the best for last with this batch of reviews…  and they would be right.  While the three reviews posted yesterday were largely ambivilent, that does not mean that this entire wave is muddled in mediocrity.  In fact, one of the figures in this wave impressed me so much and so surprisingly, that I’ve found myself much more drawn to this character than I ever have been in the past.

Combine that with a pair of really impressive army builders and you have a wave that might have some duds, but also has some figures definitely worth adding to your Pursuit of Cobra collection.  Check out my Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or just click the links below to go there directly.

GeneralsJoes begins reviewing Pursuit of Cobra Wave 6

I was hoping to get them all posted today, but I think they will end up being a bit staggered.  I’m releasing three of the reviews today, and will finish off the six-pack of Wave 6 reviews tomorrow.  All reviews are linked via the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or can just be clicked below!

GeneralsJoes Reviews Pursuit of Cobra Wave 4

No scattered reviews this time around…we’re diving right into the whole assortment!

My G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 4 figures arrived very late Friday evening, and I spent several hours this past weekend diving right into reviews.  I know I’ve been accused of hyperbole in the past, but I will say without hesitation that these four figures are among the coolest figures in the entire run of the Pursuit of Cobra line, and with a toyline like this one, that is really saying something.

These figures are awesome.  Simply awesome.  Check out the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page or hit the links below directly:

These are four excellent figures.  It really makes me look forward to seeing what Hasbro has up their sleeves for 2011.  Based on how much they’ve improved over the past 12 months, I can only imagine what greatness we have in store for us over the next 12.

GeneralsJoes Reviews final 2 Target Exclusive Vehicle Sets

No longer “canceled”, the third wave of “Target Exclusive” vehicle sets are now hitting Ross Stores nationwide (well…for folks unlike me who actually have one within 350 miles, anyway).

Thankfully I have some very kind readers who have extended their generosity and allowed me to get my full of these vehicle sets at killer prices.  I reviewed two of them yesterday, and today I will add the final two to the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page.  Check out the links below.

GeneralsJoes Reviews Target… errr… Ross Exclusive Vehicle Packs

Well, not all of them today, but I at least got two of them done.  The other two should be up tomorrow or the day after.

You can check out the reviews at the Pursuit of Cobra Review Index, or directly at the links below:

GeneralsJoes reviews G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Shock Trooper

So how will you use this figure?  An updated blueshirt?  A Cobra urban assault specialist who compliments the Alley-Viper corps?  From a recent article in the G.I. Joe Club Newsletter John Warden seems to indicate this is an upgrade to the traditional blueshirt, though in some ways he almost comes off a bit too realistic for my tastes.

That’s not to say this is a bad figure, though…  you can check out the full review on the Pursuit of Cobra Review Page, or click the link below:

GeneralsJoes reviews G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Duke

One more day, one more review of a G.I. Joe: Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 figure.  I’ve already covered Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, this time around it’s super rocket-launcher Duke!  Yes, he comes with a ridiculous shoulder-mounted ICBM system.  But somehow he still manages to be a bad ass figure.
