Five Page Previews for IDW G.I. Joe: ARAH #171 and Snake Eyes #6

Tomorrow is new comic day, and it’s the best kind of new comic day, as we get TWO new issues of IDW’s G.I. Joe books!  As I’ve mentioned a number of times, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero title is one of the most fun books I’ve read in a long time….and the Snake Eyes title has been a refreshing change of pace as well, though Robert Atkins was always a big draw for me.  Here are the five-page previews for these two latest issues, and I plan on at least trying to post a review or two tomorrow once I have the issues in hand.

The mission has begun: Flint, Lady Jaye and Heavy Duty take point on a top-secret operation to find an elusive foe that was long-thought dead. How will they track him down? CBR reveals exclusive preview from IDW’s G.I. Joe #6

Season Two of IDW’s G.I. Joe title is going strong as the Cobra Civil War unleashes chaos among the Joe team.  Keeping the suspense strong, CBR posts an ominous exclusive preview with a somewhat concerning cover.

Obviously taking homage from the famous cover from Crisis on Infinite Earths, only time will tell if it bears an impact on the story within.  There are also several internal pages to read as well, which continue the frenetic action from the G.I. Joe series.

Check out a mirrored image from one of the covers below, and hit up CBR.com for the full preview.

Five Page Previews for RAH #166 and Snake Eyes #1

The Cobra Civil War has officially begun, and while I honestly wasn’t wild about the kick off #0 issue, or the initial issue of G.I. Joe, things just might be turning around…  I’m certainly not sold on the whole Snake Eyes/Helix angle, but if these first five pages are any indication, I can overlook that with a fast-paced story and some absolutely awesome Robert Atkins art.

Meanwhile, the old school goodness continues full steam ahead on Real American Hero.  Ron Wagner’s pencils are a sight for sore eyes, though I’ll be honest…I think I like Gallant’s style just a little bit more.  Both of these issues hit your local comic shops tomorrow…can’t wait to check ‘em out!

G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #166

Larry Hama (w) • Ron Wagner (a) • Herb Trimpe, Ron Wagner (c)

With Snake Eyes back on the JOE side and Billy broken free of the grasp of Dr. Venom’s insidious Brainwave Scannner, things seem to be looking up for G.I. JOE. But don’t count COBRA out yet: they have a few more tricks up their sleeve! Featuring Ron Wagner on art, you can’t afford to miss this incredible issue of G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO!

*2 regular covers will be shipped in a 1-to-1 ratio.

FC • 32 pages • $3.99

Snake Eyes #1

Chuck Dixon (w) • Robert Atkins & Agustin Padilla (a) • Zach Howard x 3 (c)

A “COBRA CIVIL WAR” TIE-IN! The deadliest Joe in his own title at last! Seeking justice for the deaths of CENSORED, SNAKE EYES heads to the top of the world and the Himalayan fortress of Rajah Vikrim KHALLIKHAN—a COBRA COMMANDER CANDIDATE! With only Agent Helix, Iceberg and Alpine by his side, Snake Eyes storms the miles-high refuge, confronting his most skilled foes: CENSORED & CENSORED!

*3 regular covers will be shipped in a 1-to-1-to-1 ratio.

Five-Page preview of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #165

G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero # 165

Larry Hama (w) • S L Gallant (a) • Herb Trimpe, Rod Whigham (c)

The exciting DARK SNAKE EYES saga concludes here! Will Snake Eyes finally defeat Dr. Venom’s programming and return to the Joes? Can even Storm Shadow stop him if he doesn’t? What will be the fate of Billy and the Brainwave Scanner? All these questions and more will be answered in this incredible issue of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero!
