G.I. Joe and other Hasbro branded content relocating to Vimeo

Well, this explains Hasbro’s content’s disappearance from Netflix. According to Deadline, Hasbro is partnering with Vimeo to bring their content back to an online video platform after their deal with Netflix was not extended.

Beginning with Jem and the Holograms, Hasbro animated series from all era’s will be added to Vimeo to enhance their pay service. Episodes will be $2.99 to buy, .99 to rent, or entire series will be available for $40.00.

There will be 13 series altogether, including My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, G.I. Joe, Transformers: Rescue Bots, Transformers: Prime, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, G.I. Joe: Renegades, Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters, Littlest Pet Shop, Pound Puppies, The Adventures of Chuck & Friends and B-Daman Crossfire.

What do folks think is a pay-per-series deal better, or would you rather subscribe to a monthly service to get access to this content?

Regardless of the reasons, I’m glad stuff like G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and G.I. Joe: Renegades will be accessible to new viewers again.
