Here’s the latest sponsorship news from Entertainment Earth, launching a wealth of pre-orders and in stock specials!
The year is young, and even with a slow year so far for G.I. Joe news, we’ve got a lot of exciting stuff going on in the world of 4″ action figures. Not the least of which is the return of Eagle Force! The Kickstarter is not live yet, but we continue to see some great reveals from the guys at Fresh Monkey Fiction and Zica Toys, and check out the latest image below.
Designed and sculpted by the talented team at Boss Fight Studio, this modern version of Captain Eagle is shaping up to be something pretty damned awesome. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m counting down the days until this Kickstarter goes live.
Check out the latest sponsor newsletter for Big Bad Toy Store below, featuring Transformers: Combiner Wars, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Acid Rain, and more great new items up for pre-order and purchase!
Robert Downey, Jr. gets all the love within the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and deserves every bit of it) but what’s so impressive to me is the range of great actors playing even small roles all around him. Jeremy Renner is an Oscar nominated actor, and becomes a footnote in the Marvel movies, but if you go back and really see what he’s done, it’s quite the impressive footnote.
Already a key contributor to the original Avengers film, Renner is set to return as Hawkeye in Captain America: Civil War, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will already make his second appearance in the Marvel movies (third if you count his quick cameo in Thor) in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Hawkeye is one of my favorite characters, and the four issue limited series back in the 80s is part of the building blocks that made me a huge comic fan back then. Hell, that book convinced me to blow three weeks of allowance on a bow and arrow that I used religiously one summer until a friend shot me in the leg with a target arrow. That ended that…
At any rate, fresh off the fantastic Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I can hardly wait to see what lies in store from the Russo brothers in the third film, which is slowly building a mammoth cast including Downey, Jr, Renner, Anthony Mackie’s return as the Falcon, Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and if the early word holds true, will introduce Spider-Man himself to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Suddenly Age of Ultron is looking like just another stepping stone towards Civil War. Can’t wait.
Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the confirmation.
