GeneralsJoes Reviews G.I. Joe: Retaliation “Ultimate” Duke

There’s already been plenty of discussion about whether or not this version of Duke is truly “ultimate”, and I guess it depends on your perspective.  I think going by the movie universe he certainly qualifies, looking pretty much like a movie version of the character should look with an extremely movie accurate uniform.

Whether or not you agree with the terminology or the overall aesthetic, this figure is pretty fantastic.  Check out my G.I. Joe: Retaliation Review Page, or simply click the link below.

  1. How do you feel about the joint gaps? Like at the shoulders and elbows, or even the torso joint. Do you think these are better, or more refined as the modern generation 3 figures are evolving?

Do you think the “floating vest” look is getting tighter overall?

That is a lot of accessories! I dig that!

  2. Looking forward to troop building Duke and CG from this wave.

But it seems like everyone is under the false impression that he’s mostly a Trooper redeco. As far as I can tell, the only part they share is the Shock Trooper torso. The entire legs, forearms, and hands look to be brand new on Duke and it should be obvious when you stand the two side by side.

  3. Awesome! Certainly good for troop building (though the neck looks a little high on the masked head). Nice compliment of stuff too! I think the Joe Troopers are my main guys now, but this one is good for at least two.
