Excellent video interview of Jon Chu on Collider.com

While in San Diego, Collider caught up with G.I. Joe: Retaliation director Jon Chu and interviewed him about the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation Blu-Ray and of course about how things are proceeding with G.I. Joe 3. I swear, I could watch interviews with Jon Chu all day… he’s obviously very enthusiastic about the brand and excited about continuing the G.I. Joe franchise and playing his role in the film.

He also comes very close to confirming that both Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis will be back for the third film and does a lot of skirting around the issue of release dates.

It’s a very entertaining interview, check it out at Collider.com and also embedded below.

In hand images of G.I. Joe: Retaliation Wave 3.5 Roadblock

The time is getting near for the “super wave” of G.I. Joe: Retaliation to hit our shores and the fine folks over at AC Toys have started getting their stuff already. We’ve seen several in hand images of previous figures from this assortment already, and now they’re giving Roadblock his due.

I have to say, this upcoming Roadblock isn’t getting nearly the amount of love that I expected. Certainly, the Battle Kata Roadblock already represents a pretty decent movie accurate version of the character, but this new version is better in almost every way. More accurate uniform colors, no more huge oversized holsters, and a ton of awesome accessories. I am loving the looks of this upcoming Roadblock, even more than the Battle Kata version.

Check out the images on AC Toys, and I’ve mirrored some below as well. Thanks to The Terror Drome for spotting this.

Frightening new images of Hot Toys G.I. Joe: Retaliation Joe Colton

Yes, I said frightening. Like a downright weirdly accurate miniature Bruce Willis glaring at me kind of frightening.

Yeah, I’m buying this figure as soon as I possibly can.

Over on One Sixth Republic, they’ve linked to a post by “MAX” on ToysDaily which features several in hand images of the upcoming G.I. Joe: Retaliation Joe Colton figure, and it looks amazing. Some of those close ups of his face sculpt are just astoundingly good. Whatever Hot Toys pays their sculptors and paint application specialists, it’s not enough.

The figure is listed as being a “Summer Toy Fair” exclusive, which means we should see it up for pre-order on Sideshow Collectibles pretty much any time now. Keep your eyes open… until then, simply be content to look into those deep blue wells of Bruce Willis himself in the images below. Oh, Bruce…

Thanks to The Terror Drome for digging this up.
