Yeah, we know this episode was a long time coming, but hopefully it was worth the wait! I can’t quite describe how excited we were on the podcast when Bill Ratner actually reached out to us and wanted to come back on to discuss the events at JoeCon. So moved was Mr. Ratner by the reaction of the fans at JoeCon, that he really wanted to come and talk about it, and we could not have been happier to be the conduit for that conversation. Much less of an interview, and more a great conversation with a voice acting legend, it was a great discussion.
But that’s only the tip of the iceberg for this episode. Along with Bill Ratner, we also had a very unique opportunity to talk to Lanny from the G.I. Joe Collectors Club. Fresh off of the experiences at JoeCon, and neck-deep in the Figure Subscription Service 2.0 reveals, we get some terrific design insight and some very honest discussion about Lanny’s collecting background, experience, and his work with the Collectors Club. It was a terrific talk, to be sure.
Along with both of these great guests, we’re also joined by Kevin Watts, who comes on to talk about the New Jersey Collectors Convention and their 2013 Salvo exclusive! Yes, this episode truly has it all. Check it out on Podbean, or via the embedded players below. Don’t forget to click the Read the Rest of the Story link below for the show notes.

This is one of those episodes that took forever to edit, but hopefully it was worth the wait. The show features not one, but two primetime interviews PLUS the returns of two of our most favorite guests. First off are the returns of Bill Ratner and Kevin Watts. Bill shares with us his thoughts of JoeCon as we have a very casual discussion with the man who will forever be the voice of our childhood Flint. He also learns about JoeCon in other countries – will we see him at Roll Out Roll Call 4? Next up is an interview we have been very eager to bring you, our interview with Lanny Lathem from the GIJCC. This is the first, of what we hope is a regular segment we have with the club, so be sure to leave us your feedback on this interview. Following the break we chat with Mr. Watts about his NJCC Salvo figure and share a little back and forth about the Joe internet culture’s feedback on it.
Sorry for the timing on this release. Our jobs have been very aggressive with our free time, so time that we used to spend on recording and editing was replaced by working and sleep this go around. We are VERY VERY interested in your feedback on the GIJCC segment. Send us your thoughts or leave them here in the comment section. Enjoy!
