The G.I. Joe: Retaliation vignette we have been waiting for… COBRA COMMANDER!

Here it is, Joe fans!  I think it’s fair to assume the character that most of us have been really excited to see in G.I. Joe: Retaliation is Cobra Commander.  He’s such a central character to the entire scope of the franchise, and seemed so mishandled in the Rise of Cobra, many of us have really been dying to see what G.I. Joe: Retaliation would do for him

If this short video is any indication, I think we’ll be pretty damn pleased.  We see Cobra Commander running, gunning, and looking generally bad ass.  We see his personal helicopter taking off, and we get some confirmation that yes, indeed, Cobra Commander is the mysterious guy in the white uniform near the chambers that Storm Shadow breaks into.

Wow.  I gotta see this thing.  NOW.

LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!

  1. Oh my God, he’s completely terrifying! That bit of him in the white suit shooting at the camera? Awesome!

It’s really too bad about JGL as Rex/Doctor/Cobra Commander, because as we all know, the sibling storyline sucks, and so I’m having a hard time believing that this badass Cobra Commander is the geeky, burned up science officer. And I loved Rex’s character, btw. Just wish it had been handled differently.
