While the “Ultimate” Flint is still a ways off, we have a Flint available in Wave 2 of the G.I. Joe: Retaliation line.  Yes, he’s just a repaint of the version 1 Duke with a new head, but there are some merits to this figure as well.  Enough merits to buy this one instead of the upcoming “Ultimate” version?

    I’m wanting this figure for the head, beret, webgear and I’ll never say no to that Rifle.

    They body will have use, just not the legs. They can go (like I did with the wave 1 Duke, new legs, head and gear to make… Mirage)

    Also that head sculpt is really good. Be perfect for Action man.

    Man, I must really be in the minority here. I love this new Flint. And if the 2nd one is even better- i’m super stoked.

    My favorite character, and I turned away from that figure at retail. Knowing that the better Flint is coming made it a heck of a lot easier, but I just can’t get behind any part of it except the head sculpt.

    If this body sculpt was properly articulated, I swear to god I’d buy three or perhaps five of each.

    As it is, I’m skipping them both.

    getting this guy for the Gear only. The “Ultimate” Version blows this guy out of the water.

    The “laser gun” is based on the Vector (http://www.marauderinc.com/servlet/Detail?no=375). Even though POC Dusty includes one, I didn’t really know what it was until playing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Now I know it as that cool-looking gun that eats through a clip in a split second. :)

    has anyone seen these at toys r us because i havent and the guy said they might not get them in 3 to 4 weeks and i have gift cards.

    Flint should have been the team lead after Duke. I understand that the Rock is the big star but it still makes no sense with the Joe lore.

    totally didn’t see that the face is perfect for Action Man, great idea!

    I think he looks cool and has cool gear which is why it pisses me off even more that he has no ankle or wrist articulation. That is the main reason why I refuse to buy this figure.
