Press Release offers information and insight for G.I. Joe Kre-O

I know this has been out there on other sites already, but my travel back from Las Vegas interrupted my site focus a bit, but I’m posting the full press release below.  I think most of us figured out how the Kre-O initial release was going to work based on the image names and the information gleaned from the NYCC presentation.

It looks like much of the components here are reused elements from the Battleship Kre-O line, but I think most would agree that the main draw here is with the vintage themed Kreons, I would certainly agree with that.  Hate to say it, but those little guys are really growing on me.

Anyway, check out the full Press Release after the jump, and learn the names of the sets, release details (Blind bags!) and when to expect these at your local Toys “R” Us.  I’ve also inserted the required images to give a better lowdown of what set comes with what items.

Really surprising there’s no Destro. A vac-chromed head would look very cool on one of those.

  • Brandon

I am really excited for these. Quick Kick with the Fudgee bar, and the can of Yo Joe Soda with the TTBP, are little things but have made me happy. The blind bags are affordable, and the price per brick for the TTBP set isn’t bad at all at about $0.11(If you go by the range of $2.99 to $39.99). A Star Wars Lego set of the same size as the TTBP is $49.99 and that is about $0.16 a brick.

Also the Brick quality seems to get better with every new set.

Buy a whole lot of them and I’m sure we’ll see him in wave 2.

I liked these when I first saw them, by now I’m totally psyched. If these can be successful and we get more things like maybe a Terror Drome? Man, that would be so cool. The possibilities are really endless.

  • Fogger

“LAW & ORDER KREON character and a KREON dog.”

Wouldn’t that be “LAW KREON character and ORDER KREON dog”?

  • deliman1000

Yeah this may be the only way we ever get another Flagg.

These look great. My only concern is releasing something like this after the Christmas holiday… once consumers have spent their budget. February and March are generally not “blow through some more dough” months. Unless they are targeting tax return money. :)
