Excellent insight into upcoming Snake Eyes cover by Robert Atkins

Earlier this morning, I posted a story about upcoming IDW Solicitations, including G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes issue #11, which features another fantastic cover by Robert Atkins.  This makes me very happy, especially seeing Storm Shadow so front and center.

In all honesty, the current Snake Eyes interior artists, Casey Maloney and Alex Cal are certainly no slouches, but the incomparable Robert Atkins just makes this book rock in my eyes.  I was psyched to see his fantastic Storm Shadow cover, and I’m equally excited to hear that Mr. Atkins will come back to draw the Snake Eyes books in their entirety with issue #13.

Then, almost as if reading my mind, Robert Atkins updated his terrific blog and added some process and insight information for creating the cover for Snake Eyes #11.  He also includes a great black & white version of the cover, which looks incredible.

Keep hitting up Robert Atkins’ blog right here, there’s always some great G.I. Joe content to be found.  Also, follow Robert Atkins on Twitter to stay up to date on all his blog updates, too!
