Rumor Mill – G.I. Joe: Retaliation 4-Pack to hit Amazon?

Gotta love the movie years!

It’s ironic as we were just discussing during our What’s on Joe Mind recording last night that it was quite possible that since Wave 4 was now shipping we were going to see a pretty big gap in product between now and the G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie line.  We actually surmised on the show that Preview packs were possible, but we weren’t sure when we might hear more information.

Turns out that “when” just might be “now”!

Now I feel compelled to remind folks that this should remain in the rumor column until we get official verification, but apparently an Amazon.com employee has posted on Full Metal Hero that there is a G.I. Joe: Retaliation 4-Pack being solicited as a preview pack containing Roadblock, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.  No images are yet available, but the timing and the pack contents make a lot of sense, so I’m leaning towards this being the real deal.

Take it how you will.  Hit up Full Metal Hero to check out the post.  Timeframe for release is April or May of 2012, with an SRP of $39.99.

Awesome news!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation movie site is online

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere yet, but maybe I just missed it.

Along with the trailer launch, the official movie website for G.I. Joe: Retaliation is now online at GIJoeMovie.com.  Previously the hub for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, it now showcases a splashy new animation and new title screen.

The content is non-existent at the moment, but it does link you to the trailer and allows you to click to follow the film on Twitter or like it on Facebook.  You can also get on the email registration list for updates.

Keep your eyes peeled, though, I’m sure before long, we’ll start seeing more and more stuff on GIJoeMovie.com.

G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club gets close up with FSS Barrel Roll

Not to be outdone by the G.I. Joe: Retaliation trailer, the G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club continues to reveal items from their FSS (Figure Subscription Service).  This time around, they give us a nice close up shot of the FSS Barrel Roll, which pretty much looks like the Direct To Consumer version of the figure.

Check out the mirrored image below, and of course, follow the G.I. Joe Club on Twitter, Facebook, and at GIJoeClub.com for all the latest info!
