Two words: RED NINJAS. That just about sells it for me.

  • Dr_Syn

    YESSSS!!!!!!

  • backpack

    SOLD!!!

  • Weerd1

That makes me pretty damn happy.

  • Shipwreak73

CC looks like CC…see, that wasn’t so hard Hollywood, was it

  • HissCommander

1:47 firefly has his mask on! nice! Is that Sigma 6 Kamakura on the mountain with SE?? FUUUUUU….there is so much in that trailer to look at. CC looks awesome!

  • LiamHenritze

I Know I am gonna get crap for this but Did they Kill off Duke???? AH HELL NO MUTHABLEEP

  • m6d

Well that’s one way to kill of Rise of Cobra. ;)

  • LockOn

I believe the yellow ninja is Jinx. At least the yellow ninja looks female.

So how many Joes are left? Like 7? (Roadblock, Flint, Lady Jaye, Duke, Jinx, Snake Eyes, Bruce Willis)

Is the hovercraft going to be released in toy version?

  • ARROW

    Squuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gyre-Viper

Yeah… I think this will be fine… I think this can work.

  • Gigamach

I am so in. Looks really, REALLY cool. Also, with Bruce in action and the Rock…this is the movie RoC AND The Expendable wishes they had been.

  • HissCommander

i was thinking the same thing. That would suck

I’m calling it now that Duke dies in the ambush. He’s noticeably absent for the rest of the trailer.

  • FredVIII

Red ninjas, plus: old Crome dome, decent Cobra Troopers (possibly Blue Shirts at 1:04?), Firefly *with* his balaclava, HISS tank (1:58) . . . call it GI JOE Redemption. Too bad the train wreck of a first movie means no Baroness or Scarlett. And does this film mean no more Duke in the film mythos? I’d be happy (very) to see Chatum gone, but not the character of Duke.

  • Skywarppro

I am guessing that is Firefly next to CC and the President?

They say they killed off all the others and only they are left, but is that the entire team or just those that were in that area where everything happened? I am sure if they don’t show faces or characters, they can bring anyone back then later in other movies if need be by saying they were someplace else when it happened and were hiding or undercover since then.

I think the Mountain ninja scene looks like it couldbe awesome!

Can’t wait to see another trailer once more editing and special FX are finished.

  • Handler73

Finally, It looks like they finally got it right. Resembles Renegades awhole lot from the trailer. Looks a version of a Hiss tank at 1:58. And Commander looked awesome

  • http://www.facebook.com/Kirbdaddy Brian Kirby

Just looked at the freeze frame of the Joe who gets his dog tags ripped off him by Roadblock. Looks like it’s Duke.

  • Skywarppro

Yeah, I noticed the “hiss” tank too. At least what might be partially left of one going through an explosion?

  • alvarobm

Totally meeeeh! Ninja crap? Check. Slow motion cam? Check. Small roster? Check. Old actor playing small role? Check. Overused A-Team plot? Check.

This move is on the same path of RoC. And, let’s face it, most of comic-based movies are totally crap, just because they mess with more elements they can handle, and try to please based fans and ordinary audience. The only notable exception on this scenario is X-Men 2. Go figure how long we must expect for a GIMovie on the same level of X2. Maybe forever.

Save my words: after that battle with red ninjas, you will miss the accelerator suits!

And, for the love of God, what is that O-HA or A-HO inside the plane???

  • chanyder

Most comic book movies are crap? Are you watching old 80′s and 90′s ones? The recent Marvel movies and the Batman movies have been amazing.

  • Alexx

Well, looks like a good time! Then again, I had a good time with the first one too. Granted, this one looks like a BETTER time, but we’ll see! One way or another I’m sure I’ll have some fun.

Now, on to the only thing I seem to care about: TOYS!!

    – Looks like ANOTHER cool Snake Eyes toy, like we need one.
    – Cobra Commaner is looking cool, though standard. Can’t wait to see his whole uniform. Hope it’s not a long coat that takes away his articulation.
    – RED NINJAS. Oh man I’m lookin’ forward to those toys. If I ever find a Temple Guardian Snake Eyes from that missing wave, then the Red Ninja body is probably where my Slice mask is going.
    – Still geeked about a Willis toy.
    – Still hope Lady Jaye gets a more interesting uniform.
    – Jinx looks pretty cool! Wonder who that is in the yellow? Looks like another cool toy!

Well…no awesome armored suits, but we have yet to see what Cobra has to offer, so we’ll see! I hope the Cobra troops are cool.

  • ndviper

Most movie snobs still think they are crap. Let him have his opinion. Everyone is entitled to it. I think the trailer looks very promising and is quite awesome. Oh, and I’ve enjoyed pretty much all the recent comic movies starting with Iron Man.

  • dantedmc37

Looks awesome! It kind of reminded me of Helix with SE on the mountain, at least the colors. Great CC and Storm Shadow shots!

  • Notorious MOFO

They are saying Hooah. It’s a battle cry that the Army has been saying forever.

  • Hylandboy

I think this looks excellent. And if Duke gets smoked in the initial ambush maybe they’ll throw out a “and Duke’s gonna be okay” at the end.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_HDJNI6DHIF5Z6RCDBSHL5ERK5U Arthur

The person in white is the person who broke SS out. Would be cool if it were CC, but IDk. Actually, looking back- there are a number of chrome faced characters in the tanks in the room SS is in. Maybe bats- why why have bats suspended in a solution?

Note the elongated head of the one on the right when SS is screaming on his knees.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Kirbdaddy Brian Kirby

I think he’ll probably be dead, but it would be cool if CC ordered his capture due to their relationship in ROC. Definitely hope there will be more characters, which was always a big part of the G.I. Joe mythos.

  • Hawkwinter

I am so SOLD!!!! Totally freakin awesome. Now that’s what I was wanting to see in a Joe movie. And all the cool little things. HISS tank, CC’s uniform, the Vipers, Red Ninjas, BATS(??)….aw man, I’m in geek heaven right now.

  • Hawkwinter

Are you Stephen Sommers posing as a Joe fan or something????

  • Ryan( Mapleleaf )

Trailer, COOOOOOOOOOOOL Bring on the TOYS YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yo JOE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Ryan( Mapleleaf )

Keeep the trailer posted front page till it opens

  • 788 Vs. your name here

thats not duke that the dogtags are being taken from. that guy has sideburns. not saying duke is/isnt killed, but thats not him.

  • Patrick Stewart

Yeah, I bet that they made her wear yellow in that scene so that audiences can easily spot her among the red ninjas. That could easily confuse an audience if she didn’t stick out in some way.

  • Jamarmiller

    wow looks great

  • Jack Walsh

Duke dead? With Channing Tatum’s performance, who could tell?

Wakka wakka. But, seriously, this looks pretty great. My problem with the first one wasn’t that it was unfaithful to the Joe mythos or that there were too many changes or whatnot. I just thought it looked cheap and wasn’t good. This definitely has some great potential.

  • http://twitter.com/geoffdes78 Geoff DeSouza

Yeah. I still think that the only reason they went with that godawful mask last time was because they cast a name actor in the role, which meant that they had to come up with something that revealed his face. Sort of why Spider-Man always loses his mask in the movies.

  • alvarobm

    So, no YO JOE anymore?

  • alvarobm

Do you really liked FF 1 & 2? Thor? CA? The two Hulks? Ans what about Green Lantern?

They have poor stories, confuse mix of comics elements, and one lives thanks to CGI…

  • alvarobm

Hahaha, nice try…but I am Rachel Nichols postin as a Joe fan

  • alvarobm

OK, you have a good point on Iron Man 1, the movie is very good, but is the exception that confirms the rule: the distortion on character´s comic origin is light, and the plot is focused on a well-played Tony Stark. Think about this movie without Robert Downey Jr…would lose a lot, wouldn´t?

The Iron Man 2 falls on the description on my first post: a weak plot and a mess of comic elements.

I hope not, it’s pretty corny. No organization has a battle cry like that!

  • alvarobm

Humpf…I am the last purist around here…:p

  • ndviper

You appear to have a super high standard for movies which is cool. The majority of movie goers do not however. They just want to be entertained for a couple of hours. All those comic movies you listed above I enjoyed almost all of them. Except the Fantastic Four movies and the first Hulk, never saw Green Lantern. The others I did enjoy. Movies don’t have to be perfect to be enjoyable and even the junkiest movies tend to have fans.

  • Speed

Duke’s not dead. He’s gone into a coma.

  • Scott

Just the audio from the trailer, at a low volume from a distance, seriously made my 1-month old cry. And not just cry, but caused the biggest low-hanging sad lip with tears.
The longest saddest cry I’ve seen yet from this one.

    The acting must be good.
