Marlon Wayans interview hints at the fate of the Rise of Cobra Ripcord?

First of all, spoiler alert?

Maybe?

Tough to say.  Marlon Wayans is a professional comedian, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he ad-libbed an interview here or there to get some people to notice, but hey, I still think this bears watching.

Member of the Terror Drome forums Roadblock Recall apparently heard an interview with the Wayans Brothers on local radio today promoting a comedy show, and Marlon was asked about the G.I. Joe series.  His answer may surprise you, and to avoid spoilers you’ll have to click the “Read the Rest of this Story” link below for the details.

Scene details revealed for G.I. Joe: Retaliation via Casting Resource

Well, what do we have here?  What we have are a heavy dose of spoilers for your Thursday morning.  Minor spoilers most likely, but still wanted to warn you up front.  Due to the potential spoiler information, I’ll post the details after the jump.

Whenever a major motion picture is in production, websites are used to coordinate casting decisions and communicate certain things.  G.I. Joe: Retaliation is no different.  In fact, I’ve been using Batherson Castings’ website for a while now, but hadn’t released the name, just to try and avoid getting them in hot water.

Cats outta the bag now, so we can now all see various scene information on the site, involving many characters.  Once again, hit the “Read the Rest of this Entry” link below for the full details.

OMG G.I. Joe: Retaliation Dance Off!!11!

Over the past 24 hours we’ve gotten scattered reports via Twitter of some cast additions to the G.I. Joe: Retaliation motion picture.  Of these new additions, the focus seems to be on dancers.

As any reasonable fan would, I immediately assume this means the climactic battle between G.I. Joe and Cobra involves a Footloose-style dance off.  Jon Chu’s hiring makes so much more sense now!

New cast members include:

Yup.  All dancers.  Deth of teh film.  Thanks to HissTank.com for the intel!

Canadian Joe fans, hit your Toys “R” Us!

I’m hearing from various folks North of the border that Canadian Toys “R” Us stores have a G.I. Joe sale going currently for “Buy 1, Get 1 for $1.00″!  Not only that, but they appear to be stocked pretty well through Waves 4 & 5 of the Pursuit of Cobra.

The direct word I got was from Andrew, who writes from Ottawa, Ontario, but I have also heard that from other folks in Canada as well.

Go out and take advantage!

More offerings and very cool things in the works at Yetibrew Design

A couple of months ago, I revealed to the Joe community a great new custom parts service called Yetibrew Design, and showcased a “Dragonfly Upgrade Kit” that seemed to get some pretty good response.

Well, as the infomercial says, “That’s not all!”

Ian, proprietor of Yetibrew sends along word that his Dragonfly Upgrade Kit has spawned some cool new items, such as “…small (7 round) and large (19 round) rocket pods as well as a land mine dispenser with removable mines and a two part gatling gun assembly which is based on a gatling pod used on AH1 helicopters in Vietnam.”

He has also adapted a rocket pod for use with the awesome Pursuit of Cobra Ghost Hawk vehicle!  Images of these items can be seen below:

If you want to check out the Dragonfly parts, click here.

But…wait for it…  “that’s not all!”  Yetibrew has something else big in the wings that a lot of fans seemed to indicate a desire for.  Many fans have wondered why the HISS Tank has a clear glass canopy.  Well, Ian wants to change that.  He doesn’t have the actual model done yet, but he has sent along some beautiful renders for an armored canopy for your vintage HISS.  This thing looks awesome!  Check out the images for that below:

How freaking cool is that?  Man.  Seems like the sky is the limit with this stuff.  Bad ass.  Head over there and spend some money!  If we can show that this stuff is viable, there could be some even better stuff down the road.
