Roadblock Rocks out with his Glock out for G.I. Joe: Retaliation

Among other things…

In recent weeks, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been pretty active on Twitter talking about travelling to New Orleans to begin training for the G.I. Joe sequel that begins filming there within the next couple of weeks.

He has recently begun posting images of his weapon training, including some awesome shots of him with a Glock pistol.  But the pinnacle came last night, when he Tweeted another great image, this time sporting a hefty M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.  Check out the mirrored images below:

Bald?  Check.  Goatee?  Check.  Big #$#$#!~ gun?  Check.  I love the fact that he’s using the SAW there, too…a good indication that they’re scaling back to somewhat more current real-time weaponry and not so much the 10 minutes in the future stuff from the Rise of Cobra.

Thanks to Mercer for the heads up on this.

  1. You KNow What, I never was behind the idea of “RoadRock” but I get it now, I smell what you’re cooking HASBRO. thumbs up!

  2. I’m sure they’ll tech up the guns during production by adding a lot of details. Sort of like how the Stormtrooper rifles in Star Wars were relatively generic British guns with added “flair”

  3. I think the Rock is looking good as Roadblock now I’d like to see him hit Heavy duty on the head with his 50 cal !!!

  4. Yeah he LOOKS the part but will he speak in rhyme and cook up a fine stew?

  6. Just got back from New Orleans, we kept an ear and eye out for shooting, but nothing was going on, at least that we could find out. Keep in mind that in Louisiana, media (paparazzi) doesn’t have the same ‘freedom’ as in other states, so don’t expect a lot of unintended leaks. Pararazzi fall under the classification of a stalker NOT media, which in Louisiana is illegal. If I had to guess a location, they are outside of New Orleans on the West Bank.
