Sideshow Collectibles Snake Eyes and Timber statue up for pre-order

Certainly the 12″ figures take center stage, but Sideshow Collectibles has an impressive arsenal of product coming out for the G.I. Joe property, and their latest non figure item is a fantastic looking statue of an old school Snake Eyes with his trusty companion Timber!

They have just listed the pre-order, which you can hit by clicking the banner below.  It really is an awesome looking display piece.  For fans of the Real American Hero, it is an awesome time to really build out those toy rooms.  So many great things available from Hasbro and Sideshow.

The exclusive version comes with his ’85 Visor head!  Hit the banner below to check ’em out:

IMDB leaks some potentially spoilery G.I. Joe: Renegades intel?

Movie site IMDB has posted some updated G.I. Joe: Renegades information, and some of it is pretty spoiler-rific!  I will post the content of the updates after the “jump” so people don’t stumble on the spoilers inadvertently.  Some might say that the information within IMDB is unreliable, but the movie site posted the G.I. Joe: Renegades episode titles a good 6 months ago, and the information was right on the money.

Wow! G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club lists pre-orders for cancelled mail away Cobra Commander!

Okay, THIS is awesome.

Yes, essentially this figure was released in the Pursuit of Cobra line…however the packaging was changed, and he didn’t come with the highly valued HISS Drone mini-vehicle that seems to tempt so many collectors (and is prominently featured in the G.I. Joe: Renegades animated series).

Listed for $18.00 for Officer members, and $35.00 for Trooper members, the mail away Cobra Commander can be pre-ordered right now, set to ship within 4 weeks of July 31st.

This is an excellent opportunity to get your hands on a piece of formerly canceled G.I. Joe history.  I know I’m buying a couple!

G.I. Joe: Renegades brings the MASS Device to the 21st Century!

MSN TV has updated the episode descriptions for upcoming G.I. Joe: Renegades, with a nice surprise for long time Joe fans…  the MASS Device is coming to the G.I. Joe: Renegades universe!

Check out the episode description right here, and mirrored below:

“Cobra works to finalize deployment of the MASS devise; Scarlett holds the key to its use.”

Sounds cool.  Hopefully it serves to round off the series well.

More carded images emerging from the Canadian JoeCon

Over the weekend I posted a handful of packaged images from the upcoming 30th Anniversary figures, thanks to Gary and Stealth Viper.  Well, the Fighting 118th has come through with even more images!  They’ve got nearly every figure from the apparent initial release of the upcoming Joe line.

Interesting changes include:

  • Lack of camouflage on Iron Grenadier
  • Red Arm Guards and updated weapons load from the Cobra Viper
  • Cobra Trooper looks to be much the same (why no AK-47?!?)
  • Steel Brigade looks to be much the same

Check out the thread right here, and I’ve also mirrored the images below.  A big thanks to ’emike’ for the heads up!
