So as production is ramping up for this fall, we’re going to start hearing more and more about the cast of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Now, most of this we know already, but it’s always good to hear confirmation.
First and foremost, Latino Review interviewed Ray Parks at Wizardworld Anaheim to get some further intel about him returning to the G.I. Joe franchise as Snake Eyes. Parks didn’t reveal a whole lot, and said things are in the very early process, but you can check out that interview right here.
Secondly, Collider.com spoke with Joseph Gordon-Leavitt, and managed to work in a question about whether or not he would be returning as Cobra Commander for the G.I. Joe sequel. Leavitt responded simply with “no”.
Maybe I’m reading too far into it, but I detected a low simmer of either humor or detest in Leavitt’s wording, even if it was very brief. I get a sneaking suspicion that particular role wasn’t something he was especially proud of…I don’t think that’s too much of a stretch.
