So is the PoC Alley Viper going to be gray or black? They have both variations on display there.

  • Pat

My recognition my be off, but who’s the guy next to the HISS, across from Firefly in the Desert Battle diorama?

  • Hawkwinter

@ DistantFred – Both versions will be released. The red/black one will be released single carded in August, while the grey/black one will be released in October as the driver of the Cobra Fury (Cobra Rage repaint)

@ Pat – I think you mean Night Adder? Just in case, all the figures around the HISS are PoC Firefly, PoC Zartan, PoC Cobra Commander, several RoC Desert-Vipers and the RoC Night Adder.

About these pics. Wow! Just wow! Everything I was hoping would be addressed seems to have been. Zartan has the cool shading that he had in original pics we saw, but was missing in the latest ones. Duke has blonde hair (welcome back!)and most especially pleasing to me is that as far as I can see, the figures come with the 25th style stands. Man, those RoC ones drove me up the wall. Ignoring the fact that they were but-ugly, most of them didn’t work. Para-Viper I think is the most problematic in that area. I’ve had to steal the 25th stand out of the purple Para-Vipers just so I can set up my RoC ones without them falling over everytime a dog barks ten blocks away :(

But back to the pics. These are without a doubt some of the most beautiful packaged figures ever. For the first time in my collecting years I will for sure buy an extra one of all the figures and keep one MoC. They just look fantastic. The packaging, the art, the larger bubbles to properly display all the cool accessories. Fantastic!

What a difference a year can make. I remember the massive dissapointment I felt last year when we got to see the RoC figs. This is just the opposite. If they would of followed the 25th line with these I wouldn’t of been so unhappy.

They look like Joes again. Packaging is attractive, the figures look unique, with lively colors. Waves 1 and 2 are superb.

Can’t wait to see what else you have to show us Justin!

Reso Stalker is AWESOME!!! Will be my default Stalker for sure.

Complete and total awesomesauce. Every single bit of it. I love the presentation, I love the packaging, I love the figures, I love the various locations of battle.

I loved the RoC line because the designs were awesome and I could use them however I wanted. I love these ’cause they’re G.I. Joe!

@Hawkwinter Thanks, but it’s they guy on the other side of the HISS. You can see his head in the 3/4 overview shot (DSCF1143). I’ve only seen one shot of him from the front. (Toy News: MG1637 http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=GIJoe%2F2010_Joe_Con%2FHasbro_Day_1%2F&pic=_MG_1637.jpg&dispsize=800&start=60)

He looks like a HISS Driver in mustard yellow and black, but the HISS Scout is in blue and black, and the PoC HISS Driver uses a different mold, so that’s what’s baffling me.

  • Vindicare

The Hiss driver you’re talking about looks like the one from the POC HISS Scout.

Not too much new here, but I really want almost everything there. Gonna be a tough year on the wallet.

  • DistantFred

Hawkwinter: No, I meant just the single carded version. There are some with gray uniforms, and some with black uniforms. In the diorama, the one on the left is gray and the one on the right is black.
They look about as good as each other, but that there are two different colour variations makes me curious as to if only one of them is coming out, or both of them in some kind of running change variant situation.

I knew about the Rage driver already.

  • Vindicare

I really hope they go with the black version of the Alley Viper, but that looks like it’s a hand painted proto
