Will the real Operation: HISS Webisode 2 please stand up?

Yeah, looks like someone at MonkeyBarTV got a little tipsy the night before work last Friday…  what was being advertised as Episode 2 of Operation: HISS was likely Episode 3, and has now been pulled.  However, the real Episode 2 is now online, featuring some arctic action.  We see Timber, a little cameo from Snow Job, and hear some thick Scottish juice straight from Destro.

If it wasn’t already obvious enough, looking at this one, it’s pretty clear that Hasbro is taking full advantage of the 3d models from the video game.  I mean, these designs look nearly identical…

    Ripcord’s last line sounded like Eddy Murphy, I thought that was pretty funny.

    And man, did Destro’s voice actor lay the accent on thick.

    These videos have yet to disappoint, IMO. Fun little adventures. Kids must be loving it.

    Man, I wish the original Sunbow voice actors would have been able to do the voices.

    These things are made on a minuscule budget, tkprime. Most of the voice actors are in-house folks they use for other Hasbro original shorts, commercials and other such promotional materials.

    I wonder how many kids are watching this? I mean there was no advertising, and it’s all online and lasts for about 2 minutes. If the kids didn’t really care for the toys, why should they care for a 2 minute cartoon that comes on half a year later?

    For starters, the models are the ones from the video game. And with that said, it is a shame that Hasbro didn’t or hasn’t made figures of Backblast, MARS Shield Troopers, MARS Assault Troopers, the Red Ninjas, Night Creepers, or Iron Grenadiers for the Rise of Cobra line.
    If Hasbro and EA were smart, they would keep the Rise of Cobra game available as a budget title for $16.99. The game is fun, and it acts like a take on the upcoming Pursuit of Cobra theme.

    Wow, you have this strange obsession with ignoring the fact that just because it might not sell in your area, it doesn’t sell anywhere at all.

    Because I can say for a fact that it ROC sells nicely in my area.
