Desert Battle Zartan images online at the Terror Drome

Like many Joefans stateside, the guys over at The Terror Drome have gotten their hands on another pre-production Pursuit of Cobra item, this time around it’s the Desert Battle Zartan w/ his Sandstorm disguise.  It’s so funny that this version of Zartan is fairly simple and straight forward, yet ends up being so successful.  For a long time Hasbro has done some very complicated things with the master of disguise, but really failed to capture the essence of the character.  However, this version really seems to capture him well, and ties him into the movie continuity fairly seamlessly.  The disguise is great, the figure itself looks awesome, and he’s got some incredible accessories to boot.  A really nice figure all around.  I hope to have my own review posted shortly, but for now check out the gallery of images I’ve mirrored below.

you know, i really, really hope that the nanomite injections allow Zartan to change his face at will.

i dont want to see Jonathan Pryce playing Zartan for the sequel.

Holy Crap! This is an amazing figure. All this extra stuff is just amazing. An incredible new spin on Zartan, plus loads of extra stuff for assorted customs. Hasbro scores big with this one!

Don’t see what the hype is on this Zartan. If it didn’t come with a head that looked like Lowlight, a character people are wanting, I doubt he’d have as much flair.
Still, he’s a much better figure than the one Hasbro gave us in July.

the hype is that is a fresh interpretation of a classic character. sorry alpine, think you may be the minority in your opinion.

come one everybody! whistle with me!

    For he’s a jolly good fel-low…

I think this guy is way cooler than the various funky vest zartans that he has appeared as so far. Looking forward to picking him up.

I’ll be buying two to use as Raptor, Sandstorm, and complete my Low-Light custom.

    For he’s a jolly good fel-low, for he’s a jolly good fel-lowwwwww and nobody’s give a damn

I never thought I wasn’t in the minority. I don’t care for the figure and still maintain that two points: 1. It’s the Lowlight custom possibility that makes him desired for most people. 2. It’s still a better Zartan than the one we got in July.
Kudos to you for liking him. No need to be sorry about it, it’s doesn’t bother me.

Just got this guy last week from the ‘Bay. LOVE IT! Added the Sandstorm parts to the body of the otherwise-useless Duke from the KMart exclusive, and voila! Two figs for one!
Thanks for the pics. I wasn’t sure what to do with the little feather-cap thing. Now I know. And we all know what knowing is, right? :)

the apostrophe dies yet another horrific death.

    alpine:

you are not making any points at all.

one is an opinion…the better of the Zartan’s since July. (which i totally agree with)

the other is an assumation of yours. you couldn’t possibly know the desire of “most people”.

    just making two points.
