The G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club has posted the hotel information for JoeCon 2010 on GIJoeCon.com here!
It seems so strange to see Convention information popping up again so soon, but I’m giddy to see it. Providence, Rhode Island! Keep your eyes posted to GIJoeCon.com for further information and details, they promise full convention registration forms by the end of the year.

Well, I haven’t done one of these in a while, and haven’t really felt a burning desire to, even though I’ve seen a lot of pretty damn cool and creative stuff out there lately. However, when I stumbled upon Slaughters_Renegade on the Terror Drome…well, I just had to make mention of it!
His work ranges from simple tweaks to existing figures, to entirely new part sculpting and flawless paint apps, he has filled in a TON of holes in the 25th Anniversary roster. I’m sure everyone knows by now that I’m not all about reliving the past, but his work is so good, I just had to mention it. These images were all pulled from posts on The Terror Drome, and mirrored here. Some fantastic work.
HissTank.com has posted a 5-Page Preview of G.I. Joe #9, which actually hit local comic shops yesterday, but I don’t think I’ve seen the preview for it yet. Check it out below.
Also, just as a reminder, the G.I. Joe: COBRA Special hits retail next Wednesday, September 30th, but GeneralsJoes received an advanced copy and reviewed it right here!
HeavyInk.com has posted some information on upcoming G.I. Joe releases from IDW, giving us some clues as to upcoming issues and stories being told in the IDW G.I. Joe universe.

Throughout the week I’ve been burning the midnight oil working on the COBRA Foyer for the Darkness Falls dio-story, and am happy to report that I’m pretty much done. Pretty much all I have left is to glue some stones on the third arch, and maybe clean up some of the white foamcore showing through. Besides that, I think I’m happy where I’m at.
Now, I’ve started work on the COBRA Comm Center, which is a computer console room. My initial plans kind of went out the window unfortunately as Michael’s apparently no longer carries the “Texture Copper” scrap book paper by ProvoCraft.
So, I had to adjust those plans a bit, but construction is still going forward on that one. Check out the gallery below for the most recent progress pics on the COBRA Foyer.
Hot on the heels of HasbroToyShop and BigBadToyStore receiving their shipments of Rise of COBRA Wave 4 figures, it looks like Wave 5 is hitting as well!
HasbroToyShop.com has each figure listed as “Coming Soon” (including the much anticipated City Strike Snake Eyes), and I just received notification from site sponsor Big Bad Toy Store, that my pre-orders were being filled for the same assortment! I’m not even done with the reviews for the last assortment yet!

Damn, has it been twenty-one issues already? Once a month for nearly two years? Yeah, I guess it has, and a big kudos goes out to the JoeCanuck guys for the blood, sweat, and tears that they put into this free newsletter on a monthly basis. They continue to raise the bar for fan-based publications, and this issue is no different.
As you should expect, the number “21” has a certain distinct meaning to any Joe fan, and the JoeCanuck folks took that to heart with their latest newsletter, and did an AWESOME job of it. I was smiling the whole way through.
Check out the latest issue right here, and find any back issues you want at their site as well. Also, be sure to stop by JoeCanuck.com and let them know how you liked it!
Apparently there was a shipping error with the G.I. Joe: COBRA Special initially expected to hit comic shops tomorrow, September 23rd. I’ve been notified by IDW that the updated ship date is September 30th. They apologize for the inconvenience, but to hold you over, check out my review right here!
