More positive news/reviews for G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA

Another online movie review site, iesb.com has seen an advanced screening for G.I. Joe…and while a full review hasn’t been posted yet, they have tweeted a few nice lines of praise:

I mean gi Joe seriously delivers @elmayimbe is not a plant”

IESB is a fairly reputable, objective review site, who certainly hasn’t cut G.I. Joe any slack through the production process.  More good words…

Not much new in the toy listings since SDCC, but I spent a few minutes gathering all of the latest TV Spots and clips, and updated the Rise of COBRA Movie page.  Want to check out all those clips, trailers, and tv spots in one place?  Hit up the SuperPage!

Playstation Home users – G.I. Joe content comes today!

According to Destructoid.com, Playstation Home users can download four different G.I. Joe themed costumes.  The four costumes are as follows:

  • Duke
  • The Baroness
  • Snake Eyes
  • Storm Shadow

Supposedly tomorrow an exclusive clip will be available as well, with more content promised in the coming weeks. Click here for all of the details.

GIJoeMovie.com updates with added content

More new web-based content is flying through the internetz today, this time from the official G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA movie website.  They’ve added some really cool 3-dimensional looks at some of the various locations in the film, as well as bios for some key characters in the upper right-hand part of the screen.

Lots of really neat tidbits to get folks fired up for the movie.  I can’t speak for anyone else, but it’s working for me.  Thanks to tkprime’s Twitter Feed for the info.

MTV.com unloads G.I. Joe themed website!

Coinciding with next week’s release of G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA, MTV.com has uploaded a G.I. Joe-themed website with tons of information and detail on the characters, locations, and hardware in the film.  Some great character bios as well as a first look at some of the technology, like COBRA’s Trident Submarine, the G.I. Joe Jet Pack, and even more.  You can also comb through their site to locate all of the hidden items, then submit an entry form to win prizes!

Positive reviews continue to flood in for G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA

There must have been another series of screenings for critics, because a bevy of reviews have started showing up online in various places, and guess what?  People love G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA.  I know, I know…they must ALL be plants, right?  They must all be in bed with the studios…there’s no possible way this many people could actually LIKE a film.  It’s unpossible.

Well, so far, it’s getting some great buzz in the critics’ circles.  The latest:
