Clearer images of upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA action figures

SNAKE EYES from HissTank reports that he has found some clearer and somewhat larger pictures of four upcoming Rise of COBRA figures.  The figures are as follows, with images below:

  • Desert-Viper
  • Storm Shadow (Arctic Threat)
  • Duke (City Assault)
  • Ripcord (Jungle Assault)

Still not crazy about Storm Shadow…the larger pictures make me feel a lot better about Duke and Ripcord, though.  I really like the camo pattern on Duke’s legs and Ripcord just looks awesome all around.  Check ‘em out for yourself:

    Duke…has a sword? Arrooo?

Really like that Ripcord though, me thinks I’ll rename him as Stalker.

I’m happy that snake eyes found these, the ones I had from earlier this week were all blurry! Awesome find, and I can’t wait to add these to my collection!

    stormy: pass
    duke: likely pass
    rip: probably pick him up
desert viper: probably will get him too

A quick head swap on that Ripcord, and I have a new Cross Hair.

I see what they were going for with that Storm Shadow, but I’m just not wild about it, either. I’ll have to wait until I see it in person to decide.

I still can’t tell whether this Duke is a straight repaint of the Reactive Armour version or if he has new legs.

Either way, I may just wait and get with one instead.

Ripcord is pretty boss, and a good fit to go with Desert Duke (although this one has different camo.)

    Desert-Viper is a definate buy.

Storm Shadow gets a “Participant” trophy for coming out and trying real hard, but being not very good anyways. Reusing the Paris Snake-Eyes jacket is a cool idea, as is homaging Joe Stormy… But those camo elements are a chunky chunky mess.
