Personally, I love this plane. It’s the best looking new jet to come out in 20 years for Joe. I was a little disappointed with flip down handle and shotgun action on the neck, but I also realize the days of selling simply because they were ‘playable models’ are gone. Toy companies have to strive to find a balanced product that will engage and compete with the juggernaut vidgame industry, yet still produce a toy that retains some of it’s real life accuracy prized by adult collectors and some discerning kids – keeping in mind the latter represents a fractional part of the market.

I can see that the handle tucks away somewhat well… first evidence of it for me. Thanks Justin.

When I end up with this darn thing taking up room in my studio apartment, feel free to call my a hypocrite. I’m really warming up to it.

I am on the record for digging this. For those of you who don’t dig it, I just want to thank you for making it easier to find one or possibly buy two. :P

no, you’re not actually the only one. sure, we might be in a subgroup of a minority of fans who want the new Raven, but you’re not alone anyway.

personally, I really REALLY like this NR because it’s true to the design, the presentation, and the spirit of the original from 1986 but in a MUCH more manageable size and it’s bound to be a bit sturdier. I’m in for buying it for sure. – NFC

Your not alone. I like it. Its different from the first but similar enough in design to appeal to me.

Well… i really like the design and features of this plane, but is really disapointed that the wheels dont spin in the landinging gears, does anyone know if Hasbros is going to change that in coming waves of this plane??? or is going to keep as it is in some reviews in the web.

I like it. I never had the original night raven, so, this will do quite nicely. I watched some of the old sunbow episodes at youtube, and I find that the designs are close enough to make this my default night raven (unless hasbro decide to re-issue the original, natch). Anyway, a spokesperson for Hasbro said that the reason they had to reduce the size of the ROC Night Raven from it’s original counterpart, is in order to keep the price low. So, considering that, it may be a while before they reissue the original, so, this is good enough for me.
