Toy Fair 2009 – The Pit!

There aren’t many new pictures here, just a bit resized and recropped, hopefully with some better detail and organization.

  • Deploys to 3 feet wide and 2 feet high
  • Pegs and space for up to 84 figures
  • Breakaway walls in conjunction with the Molepod
  • Working Jail Cell
  • Cardboard accessories including ping pong table and crates
  • Tons of play features that were vintagely inspired with collectors in mind
  • Comes with the Leather Jacket General Hawk
  • DistantFred

I have to say I’m a bit disappointed that the movie Hawk we’ve seen up until now is locked in with this big splashy vehicle. I wanted the figure, but I don’t really think I’m going to pick this up.

  • I think the best description around the internet I’ve heard for the PIT is that it’s one great big toybox. Pile all your loose Joes & COBRAs in there when mom’s a hollerin’ for you to “Clean up this mess–right NOW!” LoL

  • Spookyboots

Is that a Flint figure with one arm that’s in front of Zartan?? I haven’t seen any other pictures of that figure anywhere else or any mention of him.

  • I believe that’s a single-pack Hawk figure, though I have no idea where he’s being worked into the line.

  • Spookyboots

That’s what I thought he was at first but it looks so much uglier than the Pit Hawk, nothing like Mr. Quaid. Makes more sense though, but they have snuck in a couple other characters.
